Ian Calvert, Chartered Accountant - Finance Manager

Ian’s initial foray into transport was as a dispatcher at Placemakers Invercargill. A number of years later he joined Dynes Transport as a management accountant, then moved to Icon Logistics fulltime in March 2015. He was attracted to Dynes and then Icon by the leadership shown by the CEO and GM of the respective companies. 

Ian’s main goals are to see the staff of Icon become more effective through better systems, training, technology, measurement and reporting. 

Since he started, Ian says Icon Logistics is now more reliant on technology and more motivated to upskill staff. "We are good at what we do because we talk to our customers, we have a culture of continuous improvement, performance and passion, and we have dedication through the ranks of the company. All our staff pitch in and do what it takes to make sure our customers are happy and keep coming back."
